NationalCadetCorps
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its Headquarters at New Delhi. It is a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising Army, Navy and Air Force. The enrolled students are called cadets and are given basic military training in small arms and drill.

The emblem of NCC consists of three colours, red, dark blue and light blue, representing Army, Navy and Air Force respectively. The lotuses indicate the 17 directorates.
NCC at Cauvery College Virajpet has a long history of training the young girls (erstwhile a woman’s College) in all the walks of military life. Major Neelamma headed the NCC Coy 6/19 till 2010 and then it was in charge of Lt Devaki.
In the year 2017-18, it was led by Mrs PriyaMuddappa (Care -Taker) and in 2018-19,Mrs. Nirmitha took over as the Care-Taker.
Since the training year 2019-20, the Coy is led by Dr CaptBeena S N.
After unexpected death of Dr.Cpt. Beena S N Its was hand over to Mrs. BOJAMMA B B In the Month of May 2023-
The cadets attend the regular classes on every Saturday for both practical and theory sessions. At the same time, they do attend different camps like Combined Annual Training Camp, EkBharath, Shrest Bharat, Basic Leadership, Advanced Leadership, Rock Climbing, ThalSainik Camp, Army Attachment etc.
Our cadets also participate in International Yoga Day, Tree Plantation Pakwada, Flood Relief, Trekking activities etc. Cadets also take up different awareness programmes like ‘Swatch BharathAbhiyaan’, ‘No Plastic awareness’, cleaning the water source, ‘Save Environment Abhiyaan’ Cycling day  etc.
During the Corona Pandemic, our cadets rendered selfless service in creating awareness, preparing and distributing face masks and getting trained in treating the patients.
Second year cadets take up their ‘B’ certificate and third year cadets take up their ‘C’ certificate exams at the end of the training year, in the month of February.
